Recall now tops 21,700,000 Pounds of Hamburger - Second largest in US History
According to a press release by Topps:
Topps Meat Company LLC, located in Elizabeth, NJ, has voluntarily expanded its recall announced on September 25 to include 21.7 million pounds of ground beef products that may be contaminated with E. coli O157:H7. This represents all products produced by Topps with a "sell by date" or "best if used by date" that falls between September 25, 2007 and September 25, 2008. This information may be found on the back panel of the package. All recalled products will have a USDA establishment number of EST 9748, which is located on the back panel of the package and/or in the USDA legend. iam not to sure on what to do but we have a box of hamburgers in our freezer from tops and we have already have made and eating a few on last week saturday is was kind of strange, when late at night both of my kids like around 2 in the morning where in there bomit sleeping and my wife was just with a bad stomach and as for me just had the runs but we still feel some what kind of not well yet i am not sure if this had anything to do with the recall of tops hamburger ecoli,
