its about time someone started saying something about our food problems. To much food goes unchecked in this country and all imports of processed foods needs to stop. We can not trust any outside source with our food stuffs....period. We are not the world and the world is not us and neither are the ethics in business even similiar. Great start on a topic thats about 40 years over due!

What about GMO's? That's more scary to me than a little poison. I'd rather have food from a country that doesn't genetically engineer food than from the US where so much is engineered.

this program is so unfair to the produce bussiness in this country, can anyone at cnn tell me how many cases of produce is shipped each and every week from california? out of this mass amount of produce shipped each week how many cases of e coli is found? this program gives the wrong picture of the produce to the american public!

Dr. Gupta and CNN,
A great program to raise public awareness. Would you consider a follow-up program about what happens in the food handling by shoppers, checkers, baggers, then the transportation of that food to the home or place of service and storage?
Also, what about that method of service of the foods and the storage methods used in the home? That leads to proper kitchen protocols in the use of tools, cutting boards, bowls, and serving tools.
Finally, in the not to distant past, people were cooking everything and having challenges with lack of 'friendly flora'. Will you address the need for balance in the body's homeostatis and its own waste and elimination processes that are essential components of health life? Again, thank you for your diligence and research of the food safety in the US.Be In Good Health.
